Channel activation and data delivery is free for all packages meeting volume requirements! Read why regulated data safety should be free in the EU →

Data Channel

A data channel is a two-way, time-restricted, package delivery system connecting two partners. Once a package has been created on one end of a channel, MDBS uses the public key of the other end to encrypt the package for storage. Only the destination partner can decrypt the package both online and offline.

Data Retention

Once encrypted and stored, a package is available to the destination partner for up to 14 days, after which it is deleted. A shorter retention can be defined at package creation time.
